Introduction
This department was demerged from the “Biochemistry, Diet Therapy and Nutrition in community” department in 2011, and has been a major department in the “School of Health and Nutrition” since its establishment. Beside providing educational services to B.Sc. M.Sc., and Ph.D. students of all departments in the school and other schools of the university, the academic staff of this department lead extensive research in various fields ranging from basic nutritional areas and molecular studies to diet therapy in health and disease.
