Vision and Mission
Vision
The vision of the school of Nutrition and Food Sciences is to train professional nutritionists in order to discover, integrate, extend and apply and effective application of nutrition knowledge to improve human health and well-being and to prevent or treat chronic disease. Also, food science specialists are trained to enhance food industry of the country and world.
Mission
Our mission is to provide outstanding research, graduate and undergraduate programs, and outreach education that advances nutrition and physical activity in optimizing health for all people. Graduates from our programs will be imbued with our values and will carry forward the unit’s vision in their future endeavors.
Producing graduates with capability of practicing excellent and comprehensive nutrition care as part of health care
Enriching the science of nutrition by the establishment, development and maintenance of research in a proactive research climate
Assessment of Nutritional needs and implementation and evaluation of comprehensive nutritional care programs for promoting the quality of life in the community
Commitment to continuous professional education and other training in nutrition care
Formulation of food product more compatible with human health
Implementing quality control to enhance food products quantity and quality and decrease food-bore diseases
